Mountain Community Flea Market to Benefit Building Blocks Cooperative Preschool

Find bargains at the community flea market this Sunday on Summit Road. It benefits the Building Blocks Cooperative Preschool.

It's time for spring cleaning, and up here in the Los Gatos Mountains is no exception.

It's also time to get ready for summer, and that means it's time for a community flea market!

It's a little difficult to hold a garage sale when you live off of the beaten path, so residents of the hills are getting together 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at the Loma Prieta Community Field, behind the Building Blocks Cooperative Preschool, 23845 Summit Rd., for a day of bargains and fun.

You can indulge your bargain-hunting side by visiting the community flea market that about 20 families are participating in. You don't even need to make a purchase to enjoy the day. You can enter the raffle and hope to win the grand prize of a $1,000 Visa gift card. You can also visit the bake sale with tons of yummy homemade goodies!

It is easy to find the Take Highway 17 to the Summit Road exit. Cross back over Highway 17 and take a left at the stop sign. Continue down Summit Road until you pass and go beneath the overhead pedestrian walkway. The preschool will be on your immediate left. There is parking there, but you can also park at the school. Take the pedestrian overpass across Summit Road to the event.

If it rains, the sale will be moved to the gym between C.T. English Middle School and Loma Prieta Elementary School across the street. You can just pull into the school parking lot and walk to the gym.
