Where to Have Thanksgiving Dinner in Los Gatos

Forget the dishes and the leftovers and eat a succulent Turkey Day dinner at these fine eating establishments in town. Happy Thanksgiving!

  • THREE DEGREES RESTAURANT: Thanksgiving buffet offered from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 22 and live music from jazz quartet. Adults are $49.95; kids 4-12 are $24.95 and children 4 and under eat free. Thanksgiving dinner offered from 5-10 p.m. Menu features the eatery's regular offerings and an option of a pre-fixed, three-course meal. Reservations are strongly suggested, but walk-ins are welcomed. Make reservations at 408-395-7070.
  • LOS GATOS LODGE: Thanksgiving buffet from 12 noon until 4 p.m. Adults are $32.99, seniors 65 and over are $28.99, children ages 5-11 are $13.99, and kids under 5 eat free. Buffet includes New England clam chowder, smoked and sautéed seafood platter, an assortment of prepared salads, cheese and fruit displays. Entrees are roasted turkey with sage and walnut dressing, giblet gravy and cranberry sauce, baked ham with candied yams, and currant glaze, prime rib and north Atlantic salmon. For desserts, they'll offer pumpkin pie, bread pudding with rum sauce, apple crisp, blueberry or carrot cakes. Make reservations at 408-354-3300.
  • VIVA LOS GATOS: Thanksgiving dinner offered from 11 a.m.8 p.m., regular dinner menu all day with traditional Thanksgiving specials, Thursday, Nov. 22. Traditional Turkey dinner is $32 and includes white and dark meat, sage stuffing, and garlic mashed potatoes, yams and honey-infused sweet potatoes, pan gravy and fresh orange-cranberry sauce. There's also the family-style traditional turkey dinner for parties of four or more. Adults are $32 and kids are $17. Dinner includes bruschetta appetizer, Caesar and Viva mixed-green salads, oven-roasted turkey white and dark meat, sage stuffing, mashed potatoes, yams, honey-infused sweet potatoes, pan gravy, fresh orange-cranberry sauce. Dessert sampler features pumpkin pie, chocolate torte, and bread pudding. Make reservations at 408-356-4902.
  • CALIFORNIA CAFE: Thanksgiving dinner offered from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Pre-fixed menu of three-course meal includes appetizers such as butternut squash soup, turkey and bacon chowder soup, salads and wild boar ribs; traditional turkey dinner or bottom sirloin, winter squash ravioli and roasted Atlantic salmon, braised lamb shank and smoked pork tenderloin. Desserts include traditional pumpkin pie, tiramisu, and butterscotch bread pudding and carrot cake. Adults are $44 and children ages 10 and under are $15. Make reservations at 408-354-8118.

Harris back then said the department's records unit need time to research just how many of these sex crimes had been reported to police. I'll check with the district.
