Where to send their toddlers to preschool is one of the most important decisions faced by young parents.
Studies have shown that early childhood education programs help youngsters be better prepared for kindergarten.
In Los Gatos, we're fortunate to have a good selection of excellent preschools that accept children as young as 3 and 4 years old, with flexible schedules such as just a few hours a day and as often as five times a week.
Today we hope you, our valued reader, will help us rate the preschools listed in this article and in the poll to make the selection a little easier for our local moms and dads.
Because our poll isn't scientific, it won't be the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, who will base the decision on poll results, ratings, reviews and comments. Readers are asked to please vote only once per survey, per Patch site.
Voting is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Winner will announced at noon Friday and will receive a "Readers' Choice 2012" certificate.
We also hope you'll click on the links provided here to rate the preschools on their Patch Places listings and even leave a review, if you're so inclined.
So which one is it going to be?
The teachers were experienced, supportive and wonderful with children. The school building is bright, clean and organized. It provides a positive environment for children to explore art, music, books, dress-up and the outdoors, or just have a great time playing with friends. Although it's a co-op, the commitment is not overwhelming. The parents have the same goal, which is to see the children grow in a nurturing environment. When I dropped off my daughter at the preschool, I know she's in good hands with all the dedicated teachers and parents. It was a wonderful experience for my daughter and I. Mabel
