Flower shops ... we all frequent them to buy special flowers and other merchandise to show our loved ones that we care.

Whether we're buying them for our significant others, or to congratulate someone for their graduation, a special performance or achievement, or to pay our respects for those who have died, we all need them throughout the year.

Our Readers' Choice poll this week hopes your votes will help us identify the best places in and around Los Gatos to buy those special flowers and beautiful arrangements.

In Los Gatos, we know downtown is always busy during Valentine's Day and other special occasions, but we've also heard that our local supermarkets carry nice bouquets as well as some local garden supply stores.

Voting is open until 9 a.m. Friday with the winner announced at noon and the lucky business receiving a "Readers' Choice 2012" certificate.
