Palo Alto Medical Foundation Opens Los Gatos Center

New family medicine clinic will be located at 2400 Samaritan Drive, suite 203.

Dr. Becky L. Wallin is among four doctors who are coming to Los Gatos to staff a new clinic being opened today at 2400 Samaritan Drive, Suite 203 by the Palo Alto Medical Foundation.

In practice for 14 years, Wallin said she's joining the nonprofit foundation because she wants to focus mostly on patient care, instead of the business of medicine.

A family practitioner, Wallin will see all patients, from as young as 3 weeks old to 100, she said.

Wallin was already practicing in Los Gatos with an office on Camden Avenue, but saw the foundation's opening of the clinic as a great opportunity for her and her patients with the offering of in-house laboratory services.

In a few years, Wallin said the foundation hopes to build a new building in Los Gatos with in-house radiology, specialists and increased patient services such as on-site and online education.

Elizabeth Vilardo, president of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, said she's excited to have established physicians such as Stuart Menaker, Denise Massey and Thanh Uyen Le join Wallin on their move from Mountain View to Los Gatos.

Vilardo said pediatrics and ob-gyn services will be added in a few months. "We're thrilled," she said about the opening. "We'll be growing and growing serving this wonderful and vibrant community."

Nancee Braddock, manager of the new primary care facility, said she's extremely excited about opening the clinic and said she had already met a patient at Starbucks on Saturday who's going to begin using the Los Gatos location because he lives five minutes away from it.

The foundation hopes to open another clinic downstairs from their new location in a few months, Vilardo added and then another one across the street at 2577 Samaritan Drive in Los Gatos, next to Good Samaritan Hospital.

To be 100 percent accurate, the address for the new clinic is literally in San Jose, but right on the Los Gatos border, so the physicians and PAMF are using the proximity to the town to promote their opening.

The medical group, run by the nonprofit foundation, will accept all patients, Vilardo said.

The foundation belongs to the Sutter Health medical network of 48,000 physicians, employees and volunteers caring for patients in more than 100 Northern California cities and towns, according to its website.
