Main Street Burgers Celebrates Expansion

Customers, employees and staff celebrate business' grand re-opening party on Tuesday.

, the home of 100 percent, all natural Niman Ranch beef and Treat ice cream, celebrated the completion of its renovation and expansion the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 6.

The grand re-opening party gave customers a chance to see the business' new dining room and the much-anticipated addition of "The Anti-Griddle," a cook top that get things cold, fast.

According to Michael Jacobi, creative director for Main Street Burgers and , the appliance freezes foods to 30 degrees below zero in five to seven minutes, "perfect for 21st century smores or a designer ice cream sandwich."

Main Street Burgers is the only place in the Bay Area that has the Anti-Griddle, Jacobi said.

Along with the restaurant's expansion from suite 200 at 20 So. Santa Cruz Ave. into the old space in suite 201, its owners have added three HD TVs.

The restaurant is located at Lyndon Plaza along with Willow Street Wood Fired Pizza. Both restaurants are owned by Los Gatos resident Ed Rathmann.

"Ed is a true restaurant innovator. His approach to customer experience and the menus at both of these town favorites reflects that," said Los Gatos community advocate Jonathan Knowles.

Main Street Burgers has also added new items to its menu, Jacobi said. There are five new hamburgers that customers can try.
