Business name: Pilates Sante, 220 Oak Meadow, suite C

What is your business known for?

Because I am a physical therapist and have pilates instructors who are experienced in pilates rehabilitation, we tend to have a lot of clients referrals with various injures and conditions. I very much enjoy working with people long term to get them to a healthy state. However, we also have clients come to us for general conditioning and fitness goals. Our clients range from 15-70 years of age, with a variety different needs and goals, making our work challenging and fun.

When and how did your business get started?

I began my business in 2008 when I realized the need for supervised quality therapy exercise after rehabilitation for acute injuries in the physical therapy clinic. I've been practicing Pilates for 20 years and teaching it for 11 years. The longer I do both, the more I appreciate the amazing qualities of this method of movement. I see clients not only transform their bodies, but their mind states. My goal is to have each of my clients leave their session feeling significantly better than when they walked in the door. The combination of gifted instruction and a warm environment creates this space that can provide clients what they need.

Why did you choose Los Gatos to open your business?

I've worked in Los Gatos since I completed graduate school and became a physical therapist. I've developed many professional relationships with local doctors and health practitioners, which allows for great cross referrals and business growth. Los Gatos is also beautiful and quaint, creating the environment I wanted for my Pilates studio.

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?

I was previously a professional ballet and salsa dancer, so I have a lot to offer to dancers relating to general technique improvements and injury rehabilitation. I also understand and relate to the demands of professional artists and athletes because of my background and experience. I am still involved in the Bay Area salsa community, and judged the international SF salsa competition in November of 2013.

Does your business offer a special deals card or program?

We have a couple types of introductory Pilates packages, and will be offering free mat classes in January for potential clients.
