Los Gatos Patch Columnist Jennifer Croll Opens 'Little Black Dress'

High-end fashion expert is now sharing space with her mother, owner of The Maids' Quarters and sister on North Santa Cruz Avenue.

Los Gatos Patch columnist and member of our Moms Council of experts Jennifer Croll has re-opened her "Little Black Dress" shop next to , 36 No. Santa Cruz Ave., in downtown.

The Maids' Quarters, which just finished a major remodeling project, is owned by Croll's mother, Claudia Mann and the new joint family venture began at the end of July.

Croll, who opened her first clothing store in Los Gatos under her name in 1994, said she launched Little Black Dress because Amazon approached her to be part of its high fashion focus on Amazon.com.

The engaging fashionista said she's been working hard to create the LBD line and now women in the South Bay who love stylish clothing can get it at the quaint shop along with accessories to take those dresses from day to evening. The retail space is also shared with Croll's sister, Debbie Walker.

Croll explained her customers and fans can purchase the same LBD items showcased on Amazon, which come in various sizes for different silhouettes and body types. The silhouettes are also available in specialty one-of-a-kind fabrics, she said.

The high-fashion expert said she's purchasing various fabrics from different places such as Los Angeles, New York and overseas.

"You can come and get your own dress and style in the fabric of your choice," she noted.

Croll is also highlighting in her new space local designers with artwork, jewelry pieces and other fashion items such as and Baubles and Natellie Saia, a young talented artist, along with custom make-up and skincare by "The whole shopping experience feels like a mini Fred Segal in LA. We have more exclusive finds coming as the months go on," Croll said.

Croll has owned and operated more than 10 clothing stores throughout California, Arizona and Texas.

The Jennifer Croll web store features her 2012 fall collection, her signature "Perfect LBD/LittleBlackDress," along with all the "have-to-have" items of the moment for women on the go who want to still look and feel good.

A popular item is the so-called "LoLa," a short LBD one-shoulder, one-sleeve dress priced at $265 on Amazon.com. The piece is made out of her exclusive blend of black matte jersey that was specially engineered to be washable, wrinkle free and travel friendly.
