Los Gatos' Cafe de Flore Earns Award

Downtown business is recognized for supporting local youth.

Cafe de Flore, 111 E Main St., has been selected as the "Youth Friendly Business of the Year" by the Los Gatos Youth Commission and the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce.

Cafe de Flore owners Gorsimran and Harpal Singh will be recognized for supporting local youth with employment opportunities during tonight's meeting of the Los Gatos Town Council at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 110 E. Main St.

The business will also be lauded for supporting youth activities and events in town and providing services to young people that increase their self-respect and well being.

Members of the Los Gatos Youth Commission will joing Los Gatos Mayor Barbara Spector in presenting the award to Cafe de Flore owners.

The Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Department serves as a staff liaison to the Los Gatos Youth Commssion.

Last year's honoree was John and Brian Chiala, owners of Los Gatos Meats & Smokehouse, 575 University Ave.
