According to Los Gatos Brewing Company General Manager Chris Mak, the business was started in 1991.

An all-encompassing $20 admission ticket to the Oktoberfest-themed event includes a T-shirt, a logo mug, a free beer and entrance to all the events and a $5 ticket includes entrance to the event and two non-alcoholic beverages without the goodies. Children 12 and under are free.

Those who want to dine at the restaurant that day can still be served, but will be offered a limited menu as acclaimed head chef Jim Stump is busy serving the party crowds.

The establishment has been so successful in its two decades of operation that in 2011 it opened a sister brewery and restaurant in San Jose at San Pedro Square, 163 W. Santa Clara St.

"It's a long time to be open and around in business, especially in the restaurant industry. It's quite an accomplishment to run a successful restaurant for that period of time," Mak said.

"We're very excited because it's a culmination of all the hard work and effort that we've put in over the last 20 years," he added.

Known for its specialty beers, food and atmosphere, its most popular cervezas are Stouts Oktoberfest, Heffenweizens and Pilsners, according to Mak.
