Los Gatos at Work: Pedro's Restaurant & Cantina

Editor's note: The following is an occasional series highlighting the people who work in Los Gatos.

Pedro’s Restaurant & Cantina, 316 No. Santa Cruz Ave., continues to be one of Los Gatos' favorite places for Mexican food thanks, in part, to its super friendly employees, from managers to cooks!

We visited Tuesday and the food was just as delicious as in the past and the service just as hospitable.

And no, this is not a food review and, believe it or not, not an advertising pitch. 

We met Pedro's general manager Mark Grochowski and assistant manager Maria Villanueva, who told us the business has another location at 3935 Freedom Circle in Santa Clara.

On the menu we found bocaditos such as delicious guacamole and taquitos to soups and salads and tacos and tostada plates along with burritos and enchiladas.

A quick check of its website revealed the Los Gatos location opened Nov. 29, 1972 with 12 tables and two expansions. The Santa Clara location opened May 13, 1980.
