The likes of Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple computers and proud Los Gatos resident, could begin lining up after midnight tonight to buy the phone when doors open at 8 a.m. Friday, Sept 21, according to an Apple Store employee on Wednesday.

"There will be a few people lining up outside the store on Thursday," he said, adding that Apple's latest smartphone will cost $199 with an upgrade, which users can check at Apple.com to find out if they're eligible for.

"It's got a bigger screen, it's smaller and longer battery. I would get it," he said.

Where else can one purchase the new iPhone 5 in and around Los Gatos?

The Apple Store employee said it will be difficult to purchase the smartphone anywhere else unless it's been pre-ordered at AT&T and Verizon stores.
