Does Los Gatos Need Another Starbucks?
New coffee shop would open at Walgreen's Shopping Center at corner of Blossom Hill Boulevard and Harwood Road.
The Los Gatos Development Review Committee is inviting the public to a meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 23 at Town Council Chambers, 110 E. Main St. to discuss a conditional-use application for a new Starbucks at 14180 Blossom Hill Road.
Starbucks Coffee Company and Golden Property Development, LLC. are requesting approval to operate another Starbucks in town with outdoor seating and would like to make exterior alterations to the building.
The new coffee shop would be located on property zoned C-1, or a so-called neighborhood commercial area easily accessible and useful for retail, service and administrative uses that facilitate the day-to-day needs of Los Gatos residents, according to town zoning code.
The business would be located in the Walgreen's Shopping Center at the corner of Blossom Hill Boulevard and Harwood Road.
Los Gatos has four Starbucks locations:
- Blossom Hill Pavilion, 624 Blossom Hill Rd.
- Safeway, 470 No. Santa Cruz Ave.
- Los Gatos Shopping Center, 442 No. Santa Cruz Ave.
- 14777 Los Gatos Blvd.
