Cover Story Has 'Soft' Opening Today
Long-desired home decor boutique to have formal grand opening later on this year.
is expected to have a "soft" opening today, Friday, at the old Anteo location, employees announced.
This week, the downtown Los Gatos spot, 2 No. Santa Cruz Ave., was being prepared to open its doors to the public. A large stack of boxes could be seen near its entrance on a daily basis this week in town.
The business has a sister store in Los Altos, which specializes in selling fine linens, Italian dinnerware, bath apparel and other European-inspired home furnishings.

“We are in the beginning of a major resurgence,” said Cover Story owner Craig Cousins. “The feeling is that everything is running in a positive direction.”
For Cousins, space, location, comparable lease rates and Los Gatos were factors in opening a shop in town.

“Cover Story is an excellent new business and an established one,” said Ronee Nassi, executive director of the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce. “We look forward to them coming in.”
On the company's Facebook page, the Los Altos store had written as its status two days ago: "Hard to believe COVER STORY Los Gatos opens its doors in 2 days!!! We are all so excited and we hope to see ALL of you when the doors open :-) Come share the love!"
