2013 Holiday Shipping Deadlines Near

If you're a procrastinator and are putting off holiday shopping until the last minute, don’t worry too much. There are options for shipping last-minute items nationwide for delivery by Dec. 25.

Below is a rundown of USPS, FedEx and UPS deadlines for pre-Christmas arrival. Cost, of course, goes up with the speed of the service.

The absolute latest option nearby? Using Priority Mail Express to send your package from the Los Gatos post office by 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23. 

Below are the deadlines for shipping mail and packages for delivery by Dec. 25.

US Postal Service

• International shipping: Dec. 18
• First Class mail: Dec. 20
• Priority Mail: Dec. 21
• Priority Mail Express: Dec. 23 

Local Post Office Locations

• Los Gatos, 101 S. Santa Cruz Ave., 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
• Saratoga, 19630 Allendale Ave., 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays; 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
• Campbell, 1587 Dell Ave., 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

Here are the deadlines for shipping packages within the United States for delivery by Dec. 25.

• FedEx Super Saver: Dec. 18
• FedEx 2Day: Dec. 21
• FedEx Standard Overnight: Dec. 23
• FedEx Priority Overnight: Dec. 23
• FedEx First Overnight: Dec. 23
• FedEx Same Day: Dec. 25
