"When we have those garbage cans in, they fill up with household waste," he said. "People are now limited to a certain trash container size at home and whenever you put a trash can in somebody can drive up to it and dump garbage in it."

Capurso pointed out there's still a trash can compactor by the Museum. He also noted that the town can't put trash cans in that it can't maintain. "Our bottom line on this, is if it's your dog, it's your responsibility," he said. "It's not the town's responsibility. It doesn't matter if you're walking on the trail or you're walking down North Santa Cruz Avenue. There's nothing that allows a dog owner to leave a full bag of poop on the sidewalk or trail and think that it's somebody else's responsibility."
