Road closures will be in effect for Bear Creek Road beginning next week for slide repairs, so if you use the road to commute, you may want to start thinking of alternate routes.
The repairs and closure will take place starting on Monday, Sept. 10 and last through Oct. 12, Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. with the occasional Saturday closure. The road will remain open in the
The road will be closed between the Presentation Center (2 miles south of Highway 17 at Lexington) and Summit Road in Los Gatos.
Detours will be set up daily via Black Road and Thompson Road at the bottom of the hill and via Summit and Highway 17.
