Jr. Art Docents use creative skills to benefit LGHS

Original artwork created by Los Gatos High School Junior Art Docents will be sold as part of the New Millennium Foundation Benefit Auction Dinner and Dance on March 8, 2014 at La Rinconada Country Club. The original acrylic painting on canvas is entitled "The Cats" in honor of the high school mascot, the Wild Cats.

Once this project is completed, Junior Art Docents members led by President Maddie Abene will help CASA, the Community Against Substance Abuse, to create unique stage settings and designs for the LGHS Junior Spring Prom.

Abene and Vice Presidents Justine Reyes, Maddy Franklin and Hana Beach and Junior Art Docents members earn service hours for their contributions to the community.

Interested LGHS students are welcome to join the effort. Junior Art Docents also help with the following events:

  • Los Gatos High School Art Show
  • Art Docent Annual Art Show
  • Red Ribbon Week by CASA
  • 150th Anniversary of Los Gatos Union School District School Festival
  • Los Gatos Holiday Parade
  • Social events at LGHS
