The Worst Things About The Kids Going Back To School In Los Gatos Are ...

Traffic? Time? Will you miss them? Our readers weigh in.

The start of the school year in the Los Gatos Union School District is just around the corner.

Classes begin Monday, Aug. 19 at Blossom Hill Elementary, Daves Avenue Elementary, Lexington Elementary, Van Meter Elementary and R.J. Fisher Middle schools. Los Gatos High School also starts the same day as well as Loma Prieta Joint Union Elementary School District and Lakeside Joint School District.

That means summer is over, unfortunately for some.

This week we asked Los Gatos Patch Facebook fans what they considered the worst part about the kids going back to school in town.

Here are their responses:

Virginia Bynum-Jennings Early mornings and making lunches..... That's it

Sonya Moore-Wells Traffic

Suman Seshadri [The worst traffic spot in town is] Los Gatos Blvd-Blossom Hill

Suman Seshadri Seen so many parents running the red light at this intersection

Rene Rylander time for vacations together and sleeping late.

Michelle Babcock-Over Seeing parents speeding through my neighborhood, ignoring speed limits all while yacking on the cell phone stuck to their ear.

Delinda Samp ...the morning traffic downtown. Los Gatos loses all its charm at 7:45 on a weekday morning! LGHS is an awesome school, though!

Cathy Scott I'll join in with the above 3 posts...HELL hath no fury like a parent taking or picking their child up from school! LOL

Deirdre Daur Newly licensed drivers...

Theresa Whitney Definitely the traffic!!!
