Three Artists Featured at Museum Reception Sunday

Other events this weekend include Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce mixer tonight, a fashion show at Los Gatos High School, a town Hall meeting with Assemblyman Rich Gordon and a business conference in Santa Clara.

Why Go: It's the monthly Chamber of Commerce mixer, a great chance to network, mingle and get to know your colleagues in the Los Gatos business community. 

Pricing: $5 members; $10 prospective members

When/Where: 9:30-11 a.m., Saturday, 110 E Main St.  

Why Go: It's a community town hall meeting where you can tell your legislator your thoughts about the state budget, potential state reform, new legislation and more.

When/Where: 2:30-4:30 p.m., Sunday, , 20 High School Ct.

Why Go: See the work of students in the Los Gatos High School fashion class. This year's theme is "A Red Carpet Affair ... HOLLYWOOD." Support their work and have a good time, too.

Pricing: $10 students, $12 at door; $20 general admission; $22 at door.

When/Where: 1-10 p.m.; Saturday, 5001 Great America Pkwy., Santa Clara Convention Center.

Why Go: The annual conference is an all-day and all- night affair. By day, it will be a full discussion of all the economic issues facing Silicon Valley, with speakers who include Jim Plummer, dean of the Stanford School of Engineering. There will be speakers from Monster. Blackberry, Google and more. By night, dinner and a look at entertainment, technology and words from a film director.

Pricing: $20 to $50 for the afternoon part of the program; $100 to $140 for the evening.

When/Where: 1-4 p.m., Sunday, , 4 Tait Ave.

Why Go: Reception at the Art Museum of Los Gatos for three American artists, John Peck, Andrew Ameral and Aaron Pavelis who all trained in Florence. Meet the artists and see the art.
