Grab and Go Kids Planner: Soccer, Ducks and Museums

Soccer tryouts, a duck race, a Beatles exhibit at the History Museum, and much more are all in this week's planner.

When/Where: 3:30 p.m., Wednesday at  , 21 W. Main St.

Why Go: It's time for the monthly Car, Craft and Cookie Story Hour at Automobuild.  It's a monthly event and one that your kids are bound to enjoy. They get cookies, an interactive story hour and a chance to try out the latest toys. What more could a kid ask for?  The story hour is meant for children 3 years and up.

When/Where: Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Fisher Middle School Soccer Field; 19195 Fisher Ave.

Why Go: This will be the last day of tryouts for BU14 soccer. Boys born between August 1st 1997 and July 31st 1998 are eligible for U14. If your son loves soccer and would like to play year-round, bring him to the tryouts for the Fall 2011 season.  Bring shin guards, cleats and plenty of water.

Pricing: No charge to try out

When/Where: 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday,  , 333 Blossom Hill Road.

Why Go:  It’s time for the rubber duckies to race. It's the 4th Annual Silicon Valley Duck Race, a time for fun and fundraising. Rubber duckies are only $5 each; the more duckies you sponsor the greater your chance to win $1,000,000. Oh, and support 17 local charities at the same time. Lots of food and other games during the day as well.

Pricing: Free to attend, rubber duckies are $5 each

When/Where: 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.  , 75 Church Street.

Why Go: Everyone knows of the Beatles, even those who were born 30 years later or more. So take your kids to see the Beatles Memorabilia exhibit and tell them something about your time as a Beatles fan, too.

When/Where: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday. Tech Museum of Innovation, 201 S. Market St., San Jose.

Why Go: It's always a pleasure to go to the Tech Museum, even more so when the admission is free. This Sunday it is. The Tech Museum wants to inspire the innovator in everyone with their ScholarShare Free Days like the one that is happening this Sunday. Check out some cool things, like the Earthquake Platform or play with Robots. And there is much, much more!
