Silicon Valley Reads Author Michelle Richmonds in Los Gatos

The author of the book chosen for Silicon Valley Reads 2011 will be speaking in Los Gatos Friday night. Author Michelle Richmonds will give a talk about her book, The Year of Fog. Book signing followed by author talk plus a special reading by Los Gatos Poet Laureate Parthenia M. Hicks who has written a poem inspired by The Year of Fog. Co-sponsored by Friends of the Los Gatos Library.  The book signing will be at 7 p.m., the program will begin at 7:30 p.m.

We include this quick synopsis: A walk on foggy Ocean Beach in San Francisco is the starting point for the page-turner novel.  It follows the journey of a young woman through the mysteries of memory and guilt after her fiance's six-year-old daughter disappears while in her care.
