Peninsula Women's Chorus: Star of Wonder

Program Highlights: "Christmas Intrada" (a potpourri of carols for four-hand piano) by David Conte; "Star-Crossed" by Saunder Choi; "I Wonder as I Wander" by John Jacob Niles; "Litanies à la vierge" by M.A. Charpentier

Star of Wonder features an eclectic collection of vibrant music from around the world: the brilliant "Sanctus und Benedictus" by Poland's greatest living composer, Krzystztof Penderecki and the sublimely tender "Litanies à la vierge" by Baroque composer M.A. Charpentier. We will perform Levente Gyöngyösi's scintillating "Gloria Kajoniensis" in its entirety, accompanied by violins and percussion, and star-themed works by Argentinian composer Emilio Dublanc, as well as the American premiere of "Star-Crossed" by Filipino composer Saunder Choi.  Join us for this sparkling holiday program, plus a post-concert sing-along!
