BRAIN FITNESS EXPERT TO SPEAK AT FRIENDS SEPTEMBER 23 FRIDAY FORUM

 

Mark your calendar.  Dr. Alvaro Fernandez, CEO and Co-founder of Sharp Brains, an independent market research firm will share insights from his innovative research in brain fitness.

The mission of Sharp Brains is to provide independent, research-based, information and guidance to navigate the growing cognitive and brain fitness field.  The New York Times, Wall Street Jour­nal, CNN, Reuters, and Associated Press and others have quoted Dr Fernandez. He recently wrote the acclaimed articles   Preparing Society for the Cognitive Age, for Frontiers in Neuroscience, and  Why We Need to Retool Use It or Lose It, for the Journal of Active Aging. Alvaro has an MBA and MA from Stanford University, and enjoys teaching The Science of Brain Health at SFSU and UC-Berkeley Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.

He is a brilliant and stimulating  speaker whose subjects include brain anatomy and imaging,   brain-based learning,  brain games, brain and  cognitive health, emotions, meditation, lifelong learn learning,  memory training and more.

Join Friends of the Library at the Town Council Chambers, 110 Main Street at 7 p.m. for refreshments and a look at some of Dr. Fernandez’ books.  Lecture starts at 7:30.  See if you will emerge from the session smarter than the contestants in the TV series:  Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?
