This is a great way to learn about opera! The Magic Flute movie is a recording of the San Francisco Opera 2007 family production performed at War Memorial Opera House. The movie is condensed to one hour and sung in English with subtitles. The production was designed by the cartoonist Gerald Scarfe and is incredibly colorful and imaginative. This is a great introduction to opera for children, and fun for adults as well. An educational consultant from San Francisco Opera will be on hand to answer questions afterwards. Light refreshments provided. Free! For more information, contact Dina Jacobson at dina@svjcc.org or 408-357-7499.
