War Veterans Receive Free Museum Admission

Veterans can enter more than 30 Bay Area museums for free through Labor Day.

From this week through Labor Day on Sept. 3, veterans in Los Gatos, Monte Sereno and Saratoga can enjoy the Bay Area’s many museums without breaking the bank.

In fact, they won’t even touch the bank with free admission to more than 30 Bay Area museums.

The fees are waived through Blue Star Museums, a collaboration among the National Endowment of the Arts, Blue Star Families, and the Department of Defense, encompassing more than 1,500 museums. For a complete list across California and the U.S., visit their website.

First launched in the summer of 2010, the Blue Star Museums' free period began Memorial Day on Monday, May 28.
