VIDEO: Los Gatos 'Dub Step Dancer' Busts A Move at Town Plaza

Campbell resident Bobby Suarez Mora is seen almost daily dancing dub-step hip-hop on North Santa Cruz Avenue.

I had heard of the Los Gatos "Dub Step Dancer," but I had never formally met him or seen him perform his hip-hop routine in town.

Well, I lucked out Thursday afternoon when I found him at Town Plaza Park dancing to Skrillex's "First of the Year" album, one of his favorite tunes.

The dancer, who lives in neighboring Campbell, is none other than your friendly North Santa Cruz Avenue Safeway courtesy clerk Bobby Suarez Mora, 23.

When his shift is over around 6 p.m., Suarez Mora says he likes to dance around Los Gatos by the 48 bus stop signs "just for the fun of it."

His dance consists of moving his body in waves, popping to the electronic music in a slow-and-grind style, he explained.

Suarez Mora said if he has an audience in town, he will miss his bus on purpose dancing to delight the crowds for about two hours.

He also likes to come to town on his days off just to dance for the community, he said. "People like what I dance. I just want to inspire kids."

Suarez Mora said he hopes to design shirts one day and help people learn to love dance, feel the music and be happy.

A self-taught dancer, Suarez Mora attended Wilcox High School and graduated from Wagner College in Santa Cruz.
