A Day On The Farm, to celebrate the history of good old-fashioned farming, is Saturday-- May 10 -- from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds, Highway 152 outside Watsonville, and sponsored by the Agricultural History Project Center and Museum.
Admission is $2 per person; 1 year and younger are free.
Folks will be making ice cream, churning butter, milking cows, and offering hayrides pulled by Clydesdales.
The 4-H Fair will be at this Day on the Farm with a poultry show, exhibits, a dessert silent auction and more.
Children and adults can grind corn, pump water, churn butter, make ice cream, play old-fashioned games with stilts and hoops and draw with chalk.
In addition to the horses, there will be rabbits, lambs, goats, chickens and alpacas from Rock Star Alpacas.
