Steve Wozniak on 'Jobs' Movie: 'I Expect to Have Bad Reactions'

Apple co-founder has been critical of details learned about film premiering tonight at midnight in theaters nationwide.

Chatting on Facebook with Los Gatos Patch this week, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak said he expected to "have bad reactions" to the new biopic film "Jobs" based on the life of his friend the late Steve Jobs.

The Woz said he hadn't seen the movie yet in which actor Ashton Kutcher portrays Jobs, Wozniak's closest associate in the 1980s when the two began the personal computer revolution.

The Woz, Los Gatos' most famous celebrity, said he had tickets to the midnight showing of the movie tonight at the Westfield Oakridge Mall in San Jose and didn't want to answer questions right after seeing it.

"I expect to have bad reactions and want to keep them inside until I sleep on them. 24-hour rule," he told this editor on Facebook.

An article on Vanity Fair said Woz has been critical of a movie trailer he had seen, firing off an e-mail to Gizmodo complaining about inaccuracies in the footage.

The Vanity Fair article also says in an interview with Vulture, Woz mentioned one aspect of Apple’s shareholder history was not covered by the film.

Kutcher told the Associated Press that director Joshua Michael Stern hadn't consulted with Woz on the movie and said the Woz had a financial interest in the Aaron Sorkin rival film about the high-tech icon, who died Oct. 5, 2011 of pancreatic cancer.

Wife Janet Wozniak said in an email to Los Gatos Patch that the Woz has received hundreds of requests for interviews about the movie "and he is only one person."

After the movie was released in January at the Sundance Film Festival, CNN reported the Woz also said facts from a script of the movie he had obtained were "awful and atrocious."
