Run, Los Gatos, Run! 4-Mile Rotary Race Nears

The Rotary Club of Los Gatos presents its 37th Annual Great Race, a 4-mile scenic footrace/walk down Highway 9 from Saratoga to Los Gatos, on Sunday, April 27.

If you are looking for a great course for your best time, or a fun individual or family run, this four-mile run takes you from downtown Saratoga, down Highway 9 and finishes on beautiful N. Santa Cruz Ave. in scenic Los Gatos.

The event is great for runners, joggers, walkers and families.

Proceeds support school, community and international projects.

The Sereno Group is once again the Presenting Sponsor of the Great Race.

Other sponsors include: Barracuda Networks; Palo Alto Medical Foundation; Cornerstone Properties; El Camino Hospital; Taylor Benefits; OPTM Los Gatos, OPTM Saratoga; Integrated Copy Solutions; The Athletic Performance; and The Runners Factory.

Entry fee is $40, and registration is here.

On-line registration closes at midnight on Tuesday, April 22.

However, you can still register in person at The Athletic Performance or Runners Factory in Los Gatos through 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. You can also register from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on race day in Saratoga at 3rd Street and Big Basin Way.

Shuttles will run from Los Gatos to Saratoga from 7 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. before the race and from 9:30 a.m. to 11a.m. after the race.

You do not need to be registered to take the shuttle. Organizers advise runners to give themselves extra time if taking the shuttle before the race as it does get very crowded after 8 a.m.
