Run in the Buff! First Nude 5K Set at Los Gatos Resort

Lupin Lodge, a clothing-optional resort in Los Gatos, is hosting its first nude 5K -- "Color Me Bare" -- an untimed run on Saturday through the Santa Cruz Mountains.

"Start in the nude, finish naked and doused in paint!" organizers advertise.

There will be two courses for varying abilities set on the resort's 110 acres -- one more challenging on the hilly nature trails, and the other set on flatter ground.

After the run, participants can enjoy the naked ice cream social, barbeque and live band in the clubhouse restaurant.

The entry fee is $40 per person, $50 at the gate, and an extra $20 for those wishing to sleep over in a tent. Tickets can be purchased here.

(This event does seem to fly directly in the face of the California Public Health Department's recent tick-prevention campaign of "Spray, Tuck, Zip," but more on that here.)
