Photos: 56th Los Gatos Children's Christmas and Holidays Parade

Intermittent rain Saturday morning could not dampen town's popular processional that signals the official start of December festivities.

Participants and spectators—armed with raincoats, plastic ponchos and umbrellas—enjoyed the town's 56th annual winter processional that included 246 entries.

Sponsored by the Los Gatos Lions Club and Los Gatos-Saratoga Recreation, the one-mile route began on North Santa Cruz and Almendra avenues to Main Street and all the way to Los Gatos High School.

Los Gatos Meats & Smokehouse owners John and Brian Chiala and daughter Jackie Rose were the parade's grand marshals this year.
