A Los Gatos Patch reader emailed us in mid July to report that graffiti vandals had defaced the Caltrans stone sound wall next to Highway 17 on Lark Avenue in Los Gatos.
The graffiti markings were found as one traveled southbound on the highway and on the west side of the wall.
We then revisited the spot on Aug. 7 and reported that the graffiti was still there and growing for a total of 22 days.
The added tags were painted in red ink, right next to the two larger black, gray and white markings that were seen above overgrown dry brush.
Even though the Town of Los Gatos was not responsible for its cleanup, Parks and Public Works Director Todd Capurso said Caltrans had cleaned up the graffiti around Aug. 14.
