Patch Watch: Graffiti on Forbes Mill Footbridge

Our weekly look at blight and other problem zones in and around Los Gatos.

that spans Highway 17 and links Forbes Mill and Old Town continues to be graffitied.

It's no secret that many of the murals have been defaced before, but the graffiti now seems to be increasing per a visit we made to the bridge Friday.

We can tell someone's been trying to clean up the mess with graffiti remover, but the effort is complicated by stubborn paint used by the vandals. In some cases, it's obvious the destruction has been there for several months.

A tagger leaving the initials "DYE" has also targetted the bridge just like he or she did in the Heintz Open Space in Los Gatos.

PROBLEM: Graffiti has been spray-painted on several children's murals.
