In addition to regular exhibits, the center will have various bone and skull specimens out for you and your family to touch, investigate, and learn about.

Pricing: This is a fundraiser. Be as generous as you can be.
Where/When: , 14855 Oka Rd. Sunday, 4-7 p.m.
Why Go: Sign up for summer camp programs and take advantage of this camp sign-up night discount. Plus, the whole family will enjoy a night of free summer camp fun. Everyone gets to interact with camp staff, ask questions, and learn about what's new for 2011. There will be entertainment for all ages including arts and crafts, bounce house, science projects, free pasta dinner and a family-friendly movie shown on a giant projector screen in the APJCC auditorium.
Where/When: Great Mall Parkway and South Main Street, Milpitas. Saturday, 1-3 p.m.
Why Go: Get your kids excited about reading at the the 2011 Kidgits Book Blast in the Neighborhood 2 Court at Great Mall. Organizers will go all out to promote the joys of reading and learning. It is designed to enhance a child’s desire to read, learn and exercise their imagination. Local celebrity readers and guests will read children’s books and tell stories. Radio Disney will be part of the fun with lots of great activities and giveaways.
Giving is also part of the day. The event will try to help the Orphan Campaign in a drive linked to “Shoes.” For every $30 donated to The Orphan Campaign, the organization will buy and deliver a new pair of shoes to an orphan in one of 68 countries. In exchange, a free "Shoes" book will be shipped to the contributor’s child. Children also are invited to bring a new or gently used book to the event to be donated to Milpitas Library.
Where/When: Filoli House, 88 Canada Rd., Woodside. Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Why Go: Because it will be beautiful. "Daffodil daydreams," is an annual display of nearly a million daffodils and three days of talks, tours, demonstrations and hands-on activities to celebrate Filoli House's 35th year. Imagine the scene—that many daffodils at one time. It will be breathtaking!
