Molly's Paradise Motel on East Main Street was built following World War II in the motor court style popular in the '50s.
The 12 spacious apartments in the complex radiated Spanish atmosphere. Each included a living room, bedroom, bath and kitchenette and guests also enjoyed a miniature golf course, a heated swimming pool and a television lobby.
Following their marriage in San Francisco on Jan. 14, 1954, it is rumored that Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe spent one night of their honeymoon at Molly's before heading on to Mexico.
Today, the Garden Inn Hotel occupies the spot at 46 East Main St.
