From a benefit concert for Lakeside Elementary School to Girls Night Out on Monday, there's plenty to do in town to have a great time!

 

THE SMOKIN' KINGSNAKES FUNDRAISER CONCERT

The Smokin' Kingsnakes play thier first gig of 2013 at The Cats Restaurant and Tavern, 17533 Santa Cruz Highway, 8:30-11:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 to benefit Lakeside Elementary School, 19621 Black Rd. in the Los Gatos Mountains. The band will donate all money that goes into its tip jar, and 1/4 of the band pay to the school. Please mention that you're there for the fundraiser if you're having dinner and the restaurant will donate 15 percent of pre-tax dinner tabs to the school. Details: 408-354-2372.

MCKENNA FAITH AT MOUNTAIN CHARLEY'S

McKenna Faith performs live in concert at 15 No. Santa Cruz Ave., at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, $10 cover. She'll be followed by DJ Radio Raheem. Mountain Charley's Saloon is open 6 p.m.-2 a.m., with daily happy hour, 6-8 p.m. Details: 408-335-0042.

JEWBILEE

Come celebrate Jewish life and learning and be part of the fourth annual Jewbilee 1-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27 at the Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center, 14855 Oka Rd. Join Bay Area rabbis, scholars, artists and educators for a full afternoon of classes, programs and performances. You choose what you want to do. MUSEUMS OF LOS GATOS ART EXHIBITS

Draw Me a Story, organized by the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco, presents original works of art in a thematic and nostalgic trip through the history of children’s book illustrators and illustration techniques. Storytelling in Pictures: From Idea to Art is an original exhibit organized by The Museums of Los Gatos that showcases the work of 21st century Bay Area children’s book illustrators. Museum is opened 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday. Details: 408-395-7386.

LOS GATOS GIRLS NIGHT OUT

The Los Gatos Visitors Bureau, a partnership between the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Los Gatos, is planning its third Girls Night Out 5:30-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28 at the 140 So. Santa Cruz Ave. The event features beautiful fashions, fun shopping, sample beauty services, delicious light appetizers, fine wines and more. Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the door and include champagne reception, style boutique shopping and prize drawing, light appetizers by Three Degrees Restaurant, complimentary glass of wine and more wine tasting and healthy serving of "Eye Candy."
