36th ANNUAL ROTARY CLUB OF LOS GATOS GREAT RACE

Are you walking or running the Great Race at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 28? We are! Whether you are looking for a great course for your best time, or a fun individual or family run, this is the event for you. The four-mile run takes you from downtown Saratoga, 14420 Big Basin Way, down Highway 9 through Monte Sereno and finishes on beautiful North Santa Cruz Avenue in scenic Los Gatos. THE MUSEUMS OF LOS GATOS HIGH SCHOOL EXHIBITION

The Museums of Los Gatos presents its second annual Art + Tech + Culture: Santa Clara County-Wide High School Art Exhibition through May 5. Opening reception, awards and silent auction 6-9 p.m. Thursday April 25, at Art Museum of Los Gatos, 4 Tait Ave. Event gives $10,000 in scholarships to winning students.

SMALL TOWN, BIG LAUGHS

Bay Area comic Pharaoh, with Pharaoh Enterprises Inc., presents two comedy shows at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at the Los Gatos Masonic Hall, 131 E. Main St. A portion of the proceeds benefit Los Gatos High School. Headlining comedian is Matt Curry, a resident of the San Jose, considered one of the fastest rising stand-up comedians in the Bay Area. Details: Pharaoh, 510-673-8813. Tickets purchased in advance are $15, or $20 at the door with a two-drink minimum.
