Los Gatos Patch Editor to Speak at Lions Club Meeting

The has invited Los Gatos Patch Editor Sheila Sanchez to be its keynote speaker during its weekly meeting, 12-1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the Los Gatos Lodge, 50 Los Gatos Saratoga Rd.

Sanchez will be addressing the audience at 1 p.m. and the public is welcomed to attend. She will be speaking about Los Gatos Patch, a hyperlocal online news and information service that launched Dec. 20, 2010.

She will be teaching how to use the site, how users can become bloggers and contributors, how to post events, calendar announcements, video, photos and how to engage and share with its online family. She will also go over the site's social media pages on Facebook and Twitter and how to use those effectively to promote events and get information out to the community.
