Los Gatos History: Thanksgiving Greeting Postcard

A historical postcard depicting the old Lyndon Hotel in Los Gatos is used to send a Thanksgiving wish to someone special more than 100 years ago.

"Greetings from Los Gatos, California - Hotel Lyndon," is written on this postcard used by a town resident on Nov. 26, 1907 to express Thanksgiving wishes to someone special.

It reads: "Dear May, not having heard from you lately I want to let you know that both of us are well and wish you a pleasant Thanksgiving. Wish you could dine with us ... "

"I got turkey, instead of duck," the message ends written more than 100 years ago.
