Last Chance: Skyland Run, Kings Court Sale, Jazz Gala

SKYLAND MOUNTAIN RUN

The 20th Skyland Mountain Run takes place at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, July 14 at Radonich Ranch, 25149 Highland Way in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The event is sponsored by Skyland Church and time is running out to register and join either the 10K or 5K races, prizes and breakfast associated with this fun event. Everyone is invited to participate, including walkers, children and those with disabilities. Entrants receive T-shirts, raffle tickets, and a pancake breakfast. The Squeeze Daddy Zydeco band will provide live music. All proceeds go to charity, with gifts to the Loma Prieta Volunteer Fire Fighters, Parents helping Parents of Santa Clara, Bread for the World, and 14 other community, local, and international organizations. The event also includes a fun run for kids under 10, which starts at 9:45 a.m. Registration is $25 before July 11, and $35 on race day, when registration begins at 7:15 a.m. Registration for the kids' race—children under 10—is $13 before July 11, and $15 on race day. The corner of Blossom Hill Road and Los Gatos Boulevard, is having its annual sidewalk sale noon-4 p.m., Saturday, July 14 featuring food sampling, summer savings, live entertainment, face painting, shopping and dining discounts, balloon animals and more! A total of 10 businesses will be offering discounts on their products, from 10 to 20 percent off single purchases of items such as dry cleaning services to toys from toy store. The seventh free Vasona Vibrations concert takes place 5-7 p.m., Saturday, July 14, at Vasona Lake County Park, 333 Blossom Hill Rd., on the lawn near the Ranger Office. Playing this Saturday will be Scott T. Miller. The 10th annual music series is sponsored by the Santa Clara County Parks and South Bay Folks. MUSIC IN THE PARK

The 25th annual Music in the Park free summer outdoor concert series continues this Sunday, July 15, 5-7 p.m., in the Los Gatos Civic Center Lawn, 110 E. Main St., a fixture of the Los Gatos summer scene. Performing will be White Album Ensemble.

JAZZ ON THE PLAZZ GALA

, the umbrella nonprofit organization that supports presents a fundraising gala and live/silent auction with the theme of “Under the Stars with the Stars,” at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, at La Estancia Estate, 18000 Overlook Rd. The evening will also include cuisine by Parsley Sage Rosemary & Thyme, wines by Silver Mountain and Muns vineyards and a concert featuring jazz legend Barbara Morrison. Tickets are $165.
