Los Gatos Haunted Historic Home

In 2001 an unusual 'ghost' appeared on Glen Ridge Avenue.

The Urquhart House on Glen Ridge Avenue was built in 1893 by C.F. Scammon and purchased by Dr. and Mrs. Richard Urquhart soon after construction.

Mrs. Urquhart was a founder and first president of the History Club in 1897. In 2001, a sighting of a “ghost” in a pink suit was reported by a babysitter.

In 1976 the house received the prestigious Bellringer award and in 1993 it was featured in the Museums of Los Gatos Historic Homes Tour.
