The first baby of 2012 took her time arriving at El Camino Hospital Los Gatos on Pollard Road.
But finally, at 8:30 a.m. Monday, hospital personnel successfully delivered Rose Elizabeth to parents G.P. and Jordana Saggese of San Jose, said El Camino Hospital spokesperson Judy Twitchell.
Baby Rose weighed in at seven pounds, 15 ounces and was just over 20 inches long, she is the second child born to the Saggeses.
According to Twitchell, G.P. is the CEO of a local start-up company while Jordana is an art history professor at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco.
El Camino Hospital Los Gatos is a 143-bed facility that serves the communities of Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, Campbell, Cupertino and San Jose.
