Belmont Woman is Contestant on ABC's 'The Bachelor'

Daniella McBride, (how's THAT for a perfect name for this show?!) is a Belmont native and worked as a hostess at Vivace for several years. She made it through round-one on the season opener last night.

How far will Belmont native Daniella McBride make it in the new season of the reality TV show, "The Bachelor"?

Will she get a rose and capture the heart of hunky Sean Lowe? Or will she be whisked away in the limo, crying in her champagne?

McBride's "The Bachelor" bio says the 24-year-old is now a commercial casting associate in Southern California, but lists her hometown as Belmont, CA. And in fact, Mike Gunn, owner of Vivace Ristorante in Belmont confirmed McBride worked for the restaurant as a hostess several years ago.

So if there's a spelling bee, she'd win hands-down?

I worked with her at Vivace. How cool. Go Belmont!

If only I had known this about her I would have hired several women to dine with me at Vivace and turned going out with me into a competition. Women love to compete for the guy for some reason. Amazing how much a beautiful woman will humiliate herself on television to win "the prize". Must be some sort of validation. Unfortunately for the poor guy, once they win they almost immediate lose interest.

Haven't watched the show since season 4, but I will wish her luck! Good Luck Daniella! :)
