Bandstand Boogie, High School Sports and Labor Day Fun!

Bandstand Boogie headlines a hearty lineup of holiday weekend events in Los Gatos.

When/Where: 6:45 p.m., Thursday, , 20 High School Ct., Los Gatos.  

Why Go: The Los Gatos High School girls volleyball team begins play this week! The 'Cats kick off the 2011 season Thursday evening at home against San Lorenzo Valley High. Los Gatos returns to action the very next night just up Highway 17 at Scotts Valley High. The Los Gatos-Scotts Valley girls volleyball match begins at 6 p.m.

When/Where: 9 a.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday each week at Dance Effects, 58 E. Campbell Ave., in Campbell.

Why Go: Zumba is a fusion of hypnotic rhythms and tantalizing moves inspired by Latin and world dances to create a dynamic workout that is fun and easy. The studio now offers seven classes a week! 

Pricing: First time is free. 

When/Where: 2-10 p.m., Saturday, , 233 Blossom Hill Rd., Los Gatos. 

Why Go: Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a full day and evening of live music performances by award winning artists at the park. Proceeds from food, beer/wine sales, and sponsorships will benefit the new Los Gatos Youth Sports Park Snack Shack.

When/Where: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Calvary Church, 16330 Los Gatos Blvd., Los Gatos.

Why Go: Enjoy a day full of fun, food and entertainment. There's fun for the whole family! Delicious food will be available for purchase from the popular Movable Feast (SJ Eats) food trucks. The kids can take part in various activities in the Preschool and Elementary children's play areas and there will live music on hand to entertain the rest of the bunch.

When/Where: All Labor Day weekend from noon to 4 p.m. Mountain Winery, 14831 Pierce Rd., Saratoga. 

Why Go: Come delight your palate and taste the wide selection of Estate and Reserve wines. While you visit, enjoy the beautiful vistas  and the music playlist featuring 52 years of artists who have performed at the Mountain Winery.
