A Plethora of Fundraisers in Los Gatos This Weekend

Fundraisers benefitting the Los Gatos Ballet, the Museums of Los Gatos, the Preeclampsia Foundation and the Jewish Community Center are some of the things to do this weekend.

When/Where: 6:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Friday,  , 140 W Main St.

Why Go: This is a benefit for the Museums of Los Gatos. But it's also a chance to either turn back the clock if you lived the era, or visit the time of the "Summer of Love" if you have not. As the organizers say, this will be "a groovy night" of poker tournaments, dinner, auction, and dancing!

Pricing: $125 a ticket

When/Where: 8 p.m., Friday,  , 20 University Ave.

Why Go:  This is the last sunset concert of the season to put on by St. Luke's. This time around the Flanders Recorder Quartet will be performing. 

Pricing: $10 to $25

When/Where: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, , 333 Blossom Hill Rd.

Why Go: First, you should know that preeclampsia or pregnancy-induced hypertension is a condition that can endanger a pregancy. Los Gatos Promise Walk will bring attention to the problem with its family friendly event. Crafts and face painting for kids, guest speakers, coffeecake from Hobee's and refreshments and a release of doves to remember babies that did not survive. You can do either a 5K run/walk or the 1-mile family loop.

Pricing: $20 adults, $10 kid

When/Where: 4-6 p.m., Saturday, , 11 College Ave.

Why Go: Patrons En Pointe is the annual fundraising event for Los Gatos Ballet. Help keep the ballet on point and en pointe by attending and show your support for the arts.

Pricing: $35 a ticket

When/Where: 7-11 p.m., Saturday, , 14855 Oka Rd.

Why Go: Go to Vegas without going to Vegas by attending the wine and casino fundraiser for our community JCC. Try blackjack, poker or just mingle. There will be music and dancing, too.

Pricing: $75

Harris back then said the department's records unit need time to research just how many of these sex crimes had been reported to police. I'll check with the district.
