5 Things You Need to Know Today, Sept. 22

Don't miss the 'Quad Chamber Mixer' tonight in Campbell. It will be a great opportunity for networking.

1. Four Chamber of Commerce organizations from Campbell, Saratoga, Scotts Valley and Los Gatos will have a networking event, 5:30-7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22, at 1 W. Campbell Ave., in Campbell. The event gives business owners and community leaders a chance to interact with each other, build good working relationships and sample food, wine and microbrews. , Hobee's, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Cooper-Garrod Estate Vineyards, Poetic Cellars and Silver Mountain Vineyards will represent Los Gatos at the mixer. members Hotel Los Gatos, American Wireless, Fortino Winery and Testarossa Winery will donate items for the raffle. 2. The Town of Los Gatos is hosting "Screen on the Green," a free family movie night at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23 at , 333 Blossom Hill Rd. (Between University Avenue and Roberts Road). This year's featured film is Disney-Pixar's "Up." Children's activities will begin at 6:30 p.m. The public is asked to please bring flashlights, blankets, and low-back chairs. Details: 408-354-6834.

3. Alvaro Fernandez, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sharp Brains will open the Friends of Los Gatos Library Friday Forum fall 2011 season at 7 p.m., Sept. 23, in the Los Gatos Town Council Chambers, 110 Main St. Fernandez is the author of the acclaimed book The Sharp Brains Guide to Brain Fitness. He teaches "The Science of Brain Health" at San Francisco State University and the UC-Berkeley Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Details: 408-399-5700.

4. You loved it in the spring, and now it’s time to sip and shop once again at the Los Gatos Fall Wine Walk: Downtown and Old Town coming up 2-6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24. See a list of participating wineries, shops and food donors here. Tickets are $40 per person in advance and $50 at the door (if still available). Charlene Bunger and Shirley Cancellieri, membership VPs of the Los Gatos-Saratoga branch of the American Association of University Women, are inviting women to join them during their first general meeting 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Terraces, 800 Blossom Hill Rd., to explore the varied interest groups available through the organization. There will be a full program of fun and refreshments. Tech Trek Campers will highlight this summer's Stanford
