Pease join our town in honoring our nation's fallen soldiers 10 a.m.-noon, Monday, May 30, at the, 2255 Los Gatos-Almaden Road, for a Memorial Day Service to tribute to our veterans and those who served our nation in all capacities and their family members. The service will include a band concert, Boy Scouts placing flags on veterans' graves and refreshments. Santa Clara County Supervisor Mike Wasserman is expected to speak. Details: 408-356-4151.

Theand Community Against Substance Abuse is having a prescription drug disposal event 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, June 4, at 41 Miles Ave. The public is encouraged to drive-thru and drop off unused and expired prescription drugs to safely dispose. In 2009, 20 percent of U.S. high school students had taken a prescription drug without a doctor's prescription. Teens also misuse over-the-counter medications. Details: 714-299-6457.
