1. Make sure and attend today's Personal Emergency Preparedness class, Saturday, June 4, 9 a.m.-noon, at the Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center of Silicon Valley , Levy Family Campus/Yavneh Day School, 14855 Oka Rd. Details: stephanie.morrison@cnt.sccgov.org

2. The Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department and Community Against Substance Abuse is having a prescription drug disposal event today, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, June 4, at 41 Miles Ave. The public is encouraged to drive-thru and drop off unused and expired prescription drugs to safely dispose. In 2009, 20 percent of U.S. high school students had taken a prescription drug without a doctor's prescription. Teens also misuse over-the-counter medications. Details: 714-299-6457.

3. Plein Air 2011 fine art show and silent auction 11 a.m.-5 p.m., at Los Gatos Town Plaza today, Saturday, June 4. View more than 100 original just-painted oils, water colors and pastels. Great art, fine wine, live music and free admission. Hosted by Los Gatos Morning Rotary. The exhibit is juried and an awards presentation will take place at the end of the day. 4. Vasona Vibrations summer kick-off concert at Vasona Lake County Park featuring Scott T. Miller and the Old Shoes Blues Band, 5-7 p.m., on the lawn near the Ranger Office, and just down the hill from the pedestrian entrance at University Avenue and Pepper Tree Lane. 5. Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center of Silicon Valley presents at 2:30 p.m. the Intermezzo String Ensemble, which prepares young musicians for playing in a full orchestra.
