40K Raised During Los Gatos Rotary's Crab Fest

Feb. 16 event deemed a success thanks to the support of donors, sponsors and local businesses.

The local Rotarians, who meet Tuesday afternoon at the Los Gatos Lodge, issued a press release Sunday to thank the donors, sponsors and the community who helped make the fundraising event a success.

“When an event occurs and is so seemingly effortlessly performed, it is because so many have worked hard planning, organizing, collecting, requesting and providing, all so the crowd never knows of all of the effort necessary for the event, “ said CrabFest chairman Paul Mudgett.

The Los Gatos High School Interact Club and the Boy Scouts Troop 501 provided on site support and we appreciate their help every year.

“This is an annual event open to the public to raise money for our local charities,” said Rotary President Paul Christensen. "St. Luke's Kitchen is a local program for helping our homeless and the primary recipient of support from this event.”

Other charities that will benefit from the monies raised include Second Harvest Food Bank, Los Gatos High School Activities and The Rotary Club of Los Gatos Charities Foundation.
